Halkidiki is full of very interesting and historical places worth being seen. Not to be missed is the one-day cruise to Mount Athos (Agion Oros in Greek) with its holy monasteries. Boats leave almost every morning from the nearby harbour of Ormos Panagias at 09:30*.
